Editorial Policy

Home Ease Guide is committed to publishing accurate, practical, and genuinely useful content. Here's how we approach our work.

How We Research

We research products using manufacturer specifications, independent published evidence, and verified product information. We prioritize products with a track record of reliability and genuine usefulness over products that simply pay the highest commission. Our full method — including how we weigh different kinds of evidence and how we handle sources that disagree — is set out in How We Review Products.

Research, Not Physical Testing

Our recommendations are based on research and editorial evaluation, not on an in-house testing lab. Unless a page explicitly states that Home Ease Guide physically tested a specific product, we have not. We say that plainly on our guides rather than implying experience we do not have.

Product Functions and Safety Outcomes

We distinguish a product's documented function from evidence that it reduces slips, falls or injuries. A handhold, seated support or improved visibility does not by itself establish those outcomes. We do not transfer findings from professional home-hazard programmes or laboratory measurements to individual products. This standard applies throughout the site, including headlines and category copy. Where direct evidence is missing, we describe the function and explain the limits; unsupported outcome claims are corrected before publication. Our detailed claim-evidence rules are included in How We Review Products, linked above.

Editorial Independence

Our recommendations reflect our own research and judgment. Affiliate relationships do not determine which products we recommend or how we rank them.

Keeping Content Current

We periodically review our guides to update product availability, pricing context, and recommendations as new options become available.

Corrections

If you spot a factual error on this site, please tell us. Material errors are reviewed and corrected once we can confirm them, and we would rather hear about a mistake than leave it standing. You can report one through our contact form.
